In Gentle Yoga classes you can learn many of the physical forms or asanas of hatha yoga, taught in a friendly, gentle manner and at a peaceful pace. You may practice forms in which you are standing, seated, kneeling, or lying on a mat, while exploring a variety of adaptations for different kinds of bodies and different needs. This practice can be especially helpful for people who have experienced challenges such as loss, addiction, illness, violence, or depression, as it helps to relieve stress and encourages a deepening sense of trust and respect for your own body and your own life.
